DataTables and Excel Automation with Studio (v2020.10)

In the DataTables and Excel Automation with Studio course, you will learn how to build and filter DataTables with UiPath. You will also learn how to manipulate Excel files to read and write data as well as to save files.  

This course is designed to build on your foundational knowledge of UiPath and RPA Development, focusing on DataTables and Excel automation.  

Product alignment: This course was built using the 2020.10 product version of UiPath Studio and is applicable to newer versions as well. 

To begin this course, you need basic programming knowledge and to have completed the following courses: 

• The Get Started with RPA Development course 

• The Variables, Arguments, and Control Flow in Studio course 

This course takes approximately three hours to complete. It is intended for intermediate RPA Developers who want to learn how to manipulate data with DataTables and work with Excel files in Studio.  

In this course, you will learn how to manipulate data in DataTables and work with Excel files in Studio through these key concepts: 

• DataTables

• DataTable activities in Studio: Build Data Table, Filter Data Table, Join Data Table, and so on.

• Workbooks and Common Activities for working with Excel files in Studio.

• Excel Application Scope and Specific Activities in Studio.

• The Select Method

When you complete this course, you should be able to: 

• Create, customize and populate DataTable variables.

• Use the most common methods for DataTable manipulation.

• Differentiate between the categories of activities used when working with Excel files: Workbook activities and Excel App Integration activities.

• Use specific activities to work with Excel files (read data, write data, save files, and so on).

• Use the Select method to filter DataTables.

After you’ve completed this course, you will receive a Diploma of Completion. You are ready to move on to the next step in your RPA Development training: Data Manipulation in Studio.
