This course is meant to help you acquire the knowledge and skills you need to create and provision UiPath Robots in UiPath Automation Cloud and put them to work in a matter of minutes.
For this course, you need prior experience of working with either UiPath, or a different automation platform and/or programming languages, coupled with exposure to real business scenarios.
The course starts by introducing the Software as a Service (SaaS) UiPath Robots: Serverless and VM with their key features and use cases. It then explores licensing for these Cloud Robots. More specifically, introducing Robot Units (RUs) as a service consumption unit license. After that, it goes into more depth about creating the Serverless and VM machines and running unattended automations using these Cloud Robots. Finally, configuring a VPN gateway for these Robots to access on-premises resources that are behind a firewall.
The Automation Cloud Robots course is an advanced level course. We require, at a minimum, completion of the following courses:
To experiment with creating and provisioning cloud robots, you need the following technical setup:
UiPath Studio 2021.10 installed
Use Orchestrator 2022.4 version
UiPath Automation Cloud account
You need a minimum of 5,000 Robot Units to provision Cloud Robots. This is available as part of our Trial licenses- 12k Robot Units for 60 days.
This course was originally built using UiPath Studio version 2023.10. Although we're now aligning it with the 2024.10 version, the new features introduced in 2024.10 do not impact the core functionality covered in this course. Therefore, the videos and text remain fully relevant.
You may notice some visual differences between the 2023.10 version shown in the course and the 2024.10 version you are using. However, these differences are minor and should not affect your understanding or execution of the tasks.
Please refer to the official UiPath documentation for Automation Cloud Robots - Serverless and Automation Cloud Robots - VM for details on any minor changes or new features Release notes for 2024.10 Enterprise Release.
This course is targeted at experienced Automation Developers and CoE Admins.
