The course begins with an Introduction to Long Running Workflows, comparing them with traditional RPA to highlight where they shine—scenarios that require human input, delays, or external triggers. In the Design phase, you’ll discover BPMN-inspired modeling in Studio, covering tasks, gateways, timers, and user assignments. Moving to the Build phase, you’ll construct a purchase request approval process, applying service tasks for automation, user tasks for manager reviews, gateways for conditional logic, and error boundary events for exception handling. Finally, in the Demonstration phase, you’ll integrate all these elements into a stateful, end-to-end workflow that can pause, resume, and recover from errors without losing context.
By the end, you’ll have the confidence to design resilient workflows that combine robots, humans, and external systems in a single orchestrated process.
This course was built using the UiPath Studio 2025.4 release and aligns with the Long Running Workflows canvas, Orchestrator, and Action Center integration.
To make the most of this course, you should already understand UiPath Studio basics and how Orchestrator manages automation jobs. Familiarity with Action Center is helpful but not required. We recommend completing the UiPath Studio Foundation course before starting.
