Working with local files and folders in Studio (v2024.10)

Manage tasks such as copying files to folders, renaming files, selecting files, or moving files and folders while mastering the ability to iterate through them effortlessly. The automation of these tasks helps batch organize multiple types of files at once, quickly and efficiently.

This course was originally built using UiPath Studio version 2022.10, with updates reflecting changes in version 2024.10. We recommend using UiPath Studio 2024.10 to fully benefit from the latest features and improvements.

This learning plan is based on the 2024.10 release. If you’re preparing for the 2023.10 certification, make sure to refer to the 2023.10 learning plan instead.

This is a one-hour course aimed primarily at automation explorers and automation developers.

At the end of the course, you should be able to:  

• List the key activities available to manipulate files and folders in UiPath Studio. 

• Use file and folder activities in UiPath Studio to perform key tasks like selecting, creating, deleting, moving and renaming files and folders. 

• Use key VB.Net methods to work with files and folders. 

• Iterate through folders and files to perform a set of actions.
