About the course

This is a deep dive course built around a real business scenario. It consists of six engaging modules that develop your skillset and set you up for success as an Automation Business Analyst. Each module will take you through one or several stages of an automation implementation and tackle in-depth, in a practical manner, the tasks that need to be carried out.

The six modules are:

  • The first module of the course is Use case overview: vendor onboarding process automation implementation. In this module, you will be introduced to ACME Systems Inc., their needs, and how you'll help them as a Business Analyst in the automation implementation.
  • The second module is Kickoff: initiate the automation implementation and you will get to learn about the activities and roles necessary for the successful initiation of an automation project.
  • The third module is called Business Case and Technical Validation: validate estimations and assess automation opportunities and it covers key elements of this stage, including pre-analysis and opportunity assessment.
  • The fourth module is Process Analysis: analyze and document the process states and it focuses on how to capture the current state of the process in detail, optimize it to the desired future state, and create the Process Definition Document (PDD).
  • The fifth module is Solution Design, Automation Development, and Testing: contributing to SDD and automation development, where the responsibilities of an Automation Business Analyst in these stages are explained.
  • The sixth and last module is UAT, Deployment, Hypercare, and Project Closure: support the COE, where you'll learn how to handle new or exception test cases that may arise in UAT and a checklist for all of the project's documentation that you can customize.

This course includes hands-on exercises, a detailed examination of templates used by the Automation Business Analysts, and how to populate them and it takes 7 hours and 35 mins to complete. At the end, you will receive a diploma of completion.
